We are a group of academic and amateur food historians and gastronomers,  interested in food, culinary history and the philosophy of eating.

Through our Journal - The Aristologist - and the annual Symposium, we try to promote a better understanding of New Zealand’s  culinary heritage.     

We welcome anyone with an interest in food and eating to take part in our Symposium and to contribute to our Journal.
